When you arrive and open the gate you find a parking for 3 cars. The property has a full kitchen, dining are and living room. There are 3 bedrooms. One has a private bathroom. The other two rooms share a common bathroom. Next to the house is a hexagonal Gazebo with bbq area. Gazebo is large enough for two or 3 tables for about 10 people. There is an external toilet and sink attached to the house for use when outside in the pool or bbq area. After the Gazebo is the small pool perfect for this number of people. Just next to the pool is an area to play games, ball, soccer about 20 meters by 12 meters. After this there are some trees and vegetation that border the neighbor behind.

When you exit the property back to the paved road, just 1 mile, 1.5 km away you find a popular viewpoint of the Canyon.

Our property is located in the region called Mesa de Los Santos, Santander.

To access the actual park called PANACHI, Chicamocha Canyon, from the cabin you must take the cable car that crosses the amazing canyon from near our location to park. It's a 25 minute adventure crossing from the plateau we are located to the bottom of the river and up to the national park.

We are 30 to 45 minutes away from Bucaramanga. Bucaramanga is at a lower altitude, about 900 meters above sea level and is warm. To access our region in La Mesa, you drive up a road to 1700 meters above sea level and find a nice mild temperature in the afternoons and evenings.

The main attraction of our cabin is how close it is to the Canyon viewpoint and canyon cable car station. If you have no interest in the canyon or having amazing nature walks, biking with amazing views, then I highly recommend you consider a property closer to the farmers market or near the entrance of this region, mesa de los Santos or better yet, get a place in the main city of the region, metropolitan Bucaramanga.

Just 1.4 km, less than a mile away is the Canyon viewpoint called Mirador de Tabacal. Amazing views of this one of the largest canyons in the world.

Continue 3 more kilometers, you find the Station of the cable car that connects this flat mountain top with the national park PANACHI.

Remember, we are about 25 to 30 minutes away from the entrance toll booth to this flat mountain top. We are very close to the canyon.

The main attractions in order from the toll booth, La Punta to the Canyon View areas is the following:

1. Toll Booth La Punta.

2. To the right, 10 minutes open road to waterfall Salto Del Mico.

3. On paved road on the left Theme park called, Pony Parque.

4. 3 km along the paved road is the actual store that sells coffee from Hacienda El Roble. Stop and buy some coffee. Name Cafe Mesa De Los Santos.

5. The Award winning coffee plantation Hacienda EL Roble is just passed this store. Ask at the store how to get to the Hacienda. Do go.
I suggest if its early and you have time to drive around the Hacienda down the plantation roads that connect to an area called Casa De Campo. A lake with beautiful luxury homes.

After Hacienda El Roble, take the paved road and continue for about 3 km.
You will arrive at point where the paved road divides in two. From here if you keep straight you will find locations 6, 7, 8 and 9 described below. If here you turn left towards our cabin you find locations 10, 11, 12 described below.

6. the Farmers market. Lots of action on the weekend,
During the week you can always find fruits vegetable and some bite to eat.

7. Near the farmers market is the private club called Acuarela. You can possibly call and ask for info. You have visited with friends that have access and we have had a good time in their lake. We also had lunch there.

8. After the farmers market is a parador called Mi Colombia Querida. Busy on the weekends to stop and eat something.

9 After Mi Colombia Querida you can drive down the road for about 20 minutes to more remote areas, you will eventually find the town Los Santos.

10. Returning to the farmers market, and back to the paved road division you can turn towards our porperty and find a parador called La Mesa Redonda. May rentals and food.

11. about 5 km down the road is a karts race track.

12. The store Tienda Los Juanes, where you will turn right on the dirt road to our property.

13. Continue after Tienda Los Juanes for about 2 minutes for the popular view point Chicamocha Canyon.

14. Drive 3 more miles to the actual park cable car that connects to the Canyon National Park.

I keep a Busy schedule working as a mathematics high school teacher during the week and working as an entertainer DJ on the weekend.

I enjoy Latin and top 40 music. During the spring and summer I go a few times SUPing (Stand up boarding) This is part of the Southern California life Style.

I have found that airbnb gives you a chance to interact with people more than a regular hotel stay. I prefer to meet people at hostels and BNB than a small hotel room where you don't get to interact with others as much.

I really love traveling. My job as a teacher has given me lost of vacation time. I have been to Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, The Amazon, Machu Pichu, Quito, Ecuador, Bogota, Cartagena, most of Colombia, Panama City, Managua and Leon in Nicaragua, Arenal Volcano and Jaco Beach in Costa Rica, Chichen Itza, Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Mexico City, Acapulco, Cabo San Lucas, most of western US. Niagara Falls, NYC, Virginia, Miami, Key West, Vancouver Canada, Dominican Republic, London, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Belgium, Paris, Nice, France, Hawaii, Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Fukuoka.

I have been to Mexico city several times. Last time I took a bus from Mexico city to Acapulco. I really enjoyed that trip. Acapulco has the old and the new. Is pretty cool. Of course, you have to be careful around the city.
