Restored 90 year old farm building separate from house overlooking the McPherson Ranges and Mount Barney on a 17 acre farm block with animals. Great place to stay if you are walking Mt Barney, Mt May or Mt Maroon - 40 mins drive north. The cottage can accommodate 3 people using a queen bed and a trundle bed (extra $15/night). The cottage runs on solar power (off the grid); gas cooktop; gas hot water; septic toilet; tank water and wood heater. Dean's shed is overflowing with stories and harness.

Indawo
Our 17 acre block is just a couple of minutes walk from Woodenbong, a small rural village in northern NSW, 2 hrs south of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Being in the country we don't have access to all of the telecommunication providers that the majority of Australians have in the city and living on the coast. However, we are served by Telstra so if you have a Telstra account you can use your mobile phone, laptop, ipad here. We have access to a wi-fi - ask for the password (charges may apply). Our advice is to disconnect from the city and reconnect with the country.

Ukungena kwesivakashi
You can access the great outdoors - all of our paddocks and the Woodenbong Common.

Ezinye izinto okumele ziqashelwe
We have a large fan for hot days and nights - no air conditioning. We provide wood for the indoor wood heater in cooler months for heat. We also provide 2 bottles of complimentary water for each stay. There are several food options locally for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you do not want to cook for yourself.

I am a retired primary school teacher. I enjoy playing golf and travelling in Australia and overseas. I live with my husband, Dean, who has a disability. We have been married for nearly 20 years. Dean loves horses. About 16 years ago he bought a couple of Percheron heavy horses which he likes to drive about the property. Dean also makes heavy horse harness. He also collects horse drawn farm machinery and Australian Light Horse gear. He is passionate about what he does and loves to share his passion with our guests. We try to live a simple life - we have solar power, septic tanks and tank water - and enjoy the natural world around us.
