This bedroom's private entry is off the front porch. The bedroom is 12' x 16', with large bathroom en suite, closet, "full" size sofa bed, fridge/freezer and microwave.

Your bedroom is on the ground floor, and has it's own entrance off the front porch. It has a queen-size bed, full-size sofa bed, desk, bookshelves, closet, microwave and even a small fridge/freezer.
The large handicapped-accessible bathroom (which was added for my 95-year old mother-in-law's use) was built out into the garage, (which makes it extremely private for you). (The steps up onto the porch do preclude my listing this room as totally handicapped-accessible, but they are few.)

In the winter your bathroom tends to be cool; please use the electric heater provided in your room if you wish. In warm weather an air conditioner will be installed in one of your bedroom windows.

I am a lover of peaceful country living, and my comfortable home on a dead-end road surrounded by fields and woods is waiting for you! Make it your home base while you explore the Portsmouth NH cultural scene, New Hampshire's wonderful beaches, or shop til you drop at the outlet malls just across the line in Kittery, Maine. If you prefer to just relax here, I am adjacent to the huge Bellamy Wildlife Management Area, where you can go exploring -- hike, bike, birdwatch! Great for snowshoeing and X-country skiing in the winter. I am also close to the Bellamy River, here a tidal tributary of Great Bay, where many people come for the great kayaking. I am only 5 miles from the UNH campus in Durham, and I am 10 miles from Portsmouth, 12 miles to the NH beaches. Easy access to highways.

I speak Spanish fluently (my first career was as a Spanish teacher), and have a few phrases of other languages! I look forward to meeting you.

The dead-end road I live on is a quiet place for a short walk, and my neighbors are used to seeing my house guests ambling along. Many locals walk for exercise, or with their dogs or children on my road, as well as all over this neighborhood. The Bellamy Wildlife Management area right across the road from me has several miles of trails through fields and woodlands, as well.

I am an active, recently-remarried older woman, raised in Oregon and Vermont, but have been in New Hampshire near many of my relatives since 1985. Previous careers include Spanish teacher and radiation safety technician. I still work part-time at a radiation safety company, calibrating radiation detection instrumentation for universities, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, etc. I have been an Airbnb host since 2012.

I inherited this large country home in 2003 with my husband; he passed away in 2011. In July of 2016 I married Peter Mason, a friend from my UU church, who is an interesting and caring partner in my home-based endeavors Family and friends are very important to us and this house is often the meeting place -- we love having company! As a country-lover I am glad my house is adjacent to the Bellamy Wildlife Management Area, a 400+ acre area where we walk the many trails, go X-country skiing and snowshoeing. We go to Portsmouth for the plays, concerts, parks, good restaurants, nightlife and interesting art galleries (only 10 miles away) and walk the beaches with friends often (the ocean is 12 miles away). I am a birder (well, I try; mostly I bird by ear) and find great birding both here on the coast as well as in the White Mountains, only 60 miles away to the NW. I have always loved to garden, and have planted fruit trees and berry bushes for less-intensive bounty! The perennial flowerbeds which were my mother-in-law's give me great joy, though I do struggle with the upkeep! I enjoy sharing my space with interesting people!
