Newly completed, this fun studio is the **1st floor** of a 2 story, 2 unit, guest house- Lovingly referred to as The Fat Squirrel Guest House. This European style studio space features new furniture and fixtures, a brand new bathroom, and a modern, clean feeling that manages to be non-stuffy! There is a simple wet bar, with a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker (coffee and tea are provided), french press, toaster, and electric water kettle. The set-up suits travelers that prefer eating out, or making simple meals while spending most of their time exploring. Other amenities include: A blow dryer, Iron & small ironing board, shampoo, condition, body wash, and make-up removing wipes. Netflix, Hulu (with the HBO channel), and Amazon Prime are ready to go on the smart TV. If you'd like to rent a movie on Amazon, send me a text/message and I can turn the movie on for you for the stated rental price. Being an efficient space, the single sink is located in the main studio room, and NOT the bathroom. There is a comfortable memory foam queen size bed, and the couch/lounger is a twin. Bedding to make the couch to a bed is located in the basket next to the TV. Well lit, off road parking is located in the alley, right next to the guest house. Once the booking is confirmed, you will have access to photos of the parking area, entry door, and general directions like how to access the alley). This is my second summer season of hosting! Second-floor apartment with shared entrance in four-story house, two blocks away from restaurants, stores, coffee shops, and bars of Colorado Avenue in Old Colorado City. Long covered porch facing west with views spanning from Cheyenne Mountain to Garden of the Gods.
Apartment consists of a greatroom with open kitchen and dining and main bedroom with en suite. Extra bedroom with en suite is off a shared stairwell. Main bedroom has queen bed with new premium mattress, large reach-in closet, dresser, and the en suite has a large walk-in shower. Extra bedroom has double bed with memory foam mattress topper, reach-in closet, dresser, access to the porch, and the en suite has a jetted tub. Every room has a fantastic view of the mountains. Floors are finished concrete with radiant heating you control. Open kitchen has convection oven/microwave, induction cooktop, electric griddle, Kuerig coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, sink, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer. Kitchen is equipped with dishes, glasses, pots and pans, cooking utensils, and basic cooking ingredients (oils, seasonings, condiments). Free parking in the driveway for 1 car (sorry, small hillside driveway). Want to keep your car, bicycles, motorcycles, or gear stored inside? Private garage bay for small extra fee. Well behaved pets welcome, but unfortunately the yard is not fenced. Please refrain from smoking tobacco inside or on porch.
Walk two blocks to great restaurants, Saturday farmer’s market, coffee shops, parks, and shops of Colorado Avenue. History buffs should check out the 1904 Carnegie library 4 blocks away. 5 minute drive to Garden of the Gods, Rock Ledge Ranch, and Red Rock Canyon Open Space. 10 minutes to downtown Colorado Springs and 13 minutes to US Olympic Center. 9 minutes to Manitou Springs. 15 minutes to the Broadmoor Resort, Broadmoor World Arena, and Fort Carson. 25 minutes to Air Force Academy and close proximity to I-25 and Highway 24, so you’re close to all the Front Range has to offer.

We proudly and directly manage a 5 star cleaning team that has been thoroughly coached in disinfection and sanitation. All touch points, surfaces, kitchenware and linens, including upholstery, are being disinfected and sanitized on a routine basis. Our guests' health and safety are our top priority. For Your Comfort We provide WiFi, clean linens, a hair dryer and a steam refresh option on the dryer (in place of an iron.) You also have a washer/dryer and detergent, etc on top of the washer/dryer if you need to do laundry. We also provide a few breakfast items (coffee, tea, creamer.) When you arrive, you will find a detailed guide book with information about the in law apartment and the neighborhood, from restaurants to a 24-hour pharmacy. The Bedroom This room has a queen sized bed with foam mattress & closet with shelving space to store your clothes. There is a fireplace in the bedroom as well as a flatscreen tv with Hulu & Netflix available. Bathroom Modern, updated bathroom with spacious shower. Fresh white bath towels provided. Sitting Room There is a sitting room inside your private apartment with books and comfy chairs. Kitchenette This little kitchenette has everything you need. It has a mini refrigerator, stove top, coffee maker and microwave. You'll find all the necessities: Pots and pans, silverware, kettle, dishes, etc. Coffee, tea and creamer is available for all guests. Laundry Room - Shared An upgraded washer and dryer are available. The dryer has a steam refresh option, perfect for travelers. The laundry room is in a common area between the back entrance and your private apartment. I may come down into this common area and use the laundry facilities on occasion. Gym - Shared The gym is located off of the shared laundry room. The gym includes a treadmill, elliptical, medicine ball and weights. There is also a flat screen TV available for use with Netflix and Hulu. Back Patio There is also a back patio with a fire pit available for use. The patio is furnished. We often have firewood available for your use. Please text you would like to use the fire pit, as we do not permit on high risk days. Hot tub The hot tub is available on the back patio near the fire pit and the entrance to your apartment. The hot tub has privacy curtains that hang on a pergola around it for your comfort. We also provide beach towels and a bluetooth speaker so that you may enjoy music while you soak. The hot tub uses minerals in place of chlorine for sanitation just like the hot springs in the mountains. Parking There is room for 1 car to park in the driveway. Additional cars must park on the street. (There is plenty of street parking.) Upon walking in from the back patio, you will walk into a shared entryway (that I rarely use as I use another entrance.) Taking the stairs down, you will enter a beautifully finished basement. You will see a door with a keypad which is the entrance to your private apartment. Please be aware that our pet cats have access to the laundry room, but they do not have access to your private apartment. Permit: STR-0419

Our modern, sunny guest house, is in the historic, eclectic Old Colorado City/Westside neighborhood and shares the yard with our home that was built in the 1890's.
**The main house, NOT the guest house, will be under construction so we can have more room for our Foster Kiddos! But the expected noise, and mess is why we are offering lower rates. Please contact us with questions!! Weekday work only*** Welcome to our Fat Squirrel Guest House! This hideaway feels nestled in the trees, with a wonderful large deck for your private use, that you can easily see Pikes Peak (although during the summer, those trees may obscure the view!). Easy off street parking via the alley. The property is shared with our home in the front, and a separate, private, guest space on the ground level beneath you. This property is a great place to feel like you’re part of our Colorado community, in the oldest neighborhood in Colorado Springs. The kitchen has all the basics for your home on the road: Gas stove, microwave, full fridge, small dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, hot water kettle, blender and hopefully any cooking instrument you need. There will be a few condiments and spices available- and some items left by previous guests. If you don't see it, send us a text and we’ll most likely have what you need from the main house. There is coffee and tea to help make mornings a little easier. Towels and linens will be exchanged when you stay more than 5 days. If you need to do a load of laundry we can make arrangements for you to do so in the main house. The bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam mattress, and the daybed/ couch in the main room has everything you need to turn into a twin bed. A smart TV is logged on to Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu (with the HBO channel) ready to go, and a Bluray for watching videos. *Happy Bonus: We just remodeled the bathroom! Because Colorado has pretty mild, non-humid, weather, there is not a central air conditioner for this space. But, there is a strong, new, AC window unit in the bedroom (We love a cold room when I sleep too!!), that is installed during the summer months. Be like a local and open the French doors to the deck and enjoy the evening air. Please feel free to ask questions! I love my neighborhood. It's old. It's eclectic. It's full of great people with interesting stories. One house will be a perfectly restored Victorian, the next home needs TLC and has seen better days. On lovely afternoons, folks will be out on their porch or in their yards, happy to chat with people walking their dogs or on their way to dinner and a beer. Like anywhere, be sure to lock your car and not leave valuables visible. If you need, we can arrange to store larger items in the shed. It's where the "purple mountain majesties" reside from Katharine Lee Bate's "America the Beautiful". Sit in the living room and take in the magnificent views. 12 months per year, the Fortress at Pike's Peak provides a fantastic getaway. Every picture of views in the listing was taken from the deck.
During this trying time, we're offering discounts of at least 25% off nightly rates for open dates within 4 weeks . Our great cleaning staff is being even more careful than usual, using the proper protocol to disinfect all surfaces and keep the property safe for the guests. Please review the House Rules near the bottom of the listing page. It includes info on pet fee and additional cleaning fee for 5+ guests. There is one neighbor nearby, they are very friendly but we ask our guests to not approach them as they are senior citizens and at a higher risk. Stay at The Fortress and stay safe. It's an amazing getaway for folks to de-stress during these trying times. There is access to great hiking trails only a mile from the house and we provide specific info to booked guests. "The Fortress" is a perfect getaway no matter what the season. During the summer, cooler mountain temps provide an oasis from the heat. In the fall the colors change and it continues to be a great base camp for outdoor adventurers. It's a spectacular winter wonderland and always a great place to bring the family for holidays as well as special occasions. It has the best views in the area, some say anywhere, and you don't even have to go outside to see them. Do you see a less expensive place offering the same views from the great room or even from a back deck? It is very unlikely. Don't waste your hard earned money on a place that has great views for squirrels and birds but not guests. Many places misrepresent their views. The Fortress is the real deal! Great access to easy hiking. Just one mile drive or hike to get onto trails in Mueller State Park without a fee! So venture out or stay cozy, yet feel like you're in the middle of it all! Every picture you see of views was taken from the deck! The Fortress provides a perfect environment for an unforgettable family vacation which you'll treasure forever. This ultimate mountain getaway sits high atop a hill on the western slope of Pike's Peak, providing unobstructed views of the magnificent Sangre de Cristos mountain range. And you can even see the visitor center atop Pikes Peak looking east from the deck. Only a scenic 2 hour drive from Denver (1 from Colorado Springs). This mountain chalet style home consists of 2180 SF on 3 levels with floor to ceiling south facing windows, providing amazing light on the views during sunsets. Tastefully decorated throughout, carpet, tile and hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings. Very romantic get away for two or perfect for a family reunion of up to 12. Short drives to golf, rafting, great hiking and many great attractions like the Pikes Peak Highway, Royal Gorge Bridge, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Cave of the Winds, wildlife sanctuaries, and of course the center of Cripple Creek is only 7 miles away. Guides to all attractions available on property and booked guests receive info on whatever they request and expert suggestions.
One of many amazing features is that you can see the Visitor Center on top of Pikes Peak from the house. There is only one other house close by and that is a full time residence owned by a lovely retired couple who are always helpful and glad to meet new friends. Their home does not hurt the fantastic views in any way.

Three generations of the Barnett family joined forces to build this great cabin just minutes from the historic mining and gambling town of Cripple Creek, Colorado! Enjoy the peace and quiet at our log cabin, which is nestled in the pines and aspen trees. The cabin has wide open spaces and huge windows that make you feel at one with the forest. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a king bed and the other with a queen. The huge loft has two twin beds and lots of extra space. The well equipped kitchen allows for many memorable meals and there is a bookshelf filled with puzzles and games. There is also a Blu-Ray player, so bring along your favorite movies to enjoy.
The cabin sits by itself, isolated from the lights and chaos of the city life as well as many of the neighbors. So much so, that cellular service can be hard to come by as well. Conveniently close to Interstate 25, US Highway 24, and major thoroughfares to nearby installations, Garden of the Gods, 7-Falls, and more. Restaurants nearby. People of all backgrounds are welcome.
My bedroom and private areas are completely separate from you. We won't cross paths going to the restroom or shower and probably won't even hear each other in the morning or at night. My home is all on one-level with a step up onto the porch or two steps down into the sunken living room.
We are in central, south-east Colorado Springs. Located next to the Satellite Hotel at Airport and Academy, the hotel is also condos for residents. We enjoy individual privacy in the townhomes adjacent to the hotel. At the entrance to our area is Fire Station 8, you can't miss it. I'm located adjacent to Valley Hi Golf Course, a city-owned golf facility. We are separated from the golf course by a creek, Spring Creek. We have fast food, asian food, hispanic restaurants, steak houses nearby, and 2 miles north the Citadel Mall and Citadel Crossing where there are many kinds of restaurants to suit your taste, including Black Bear Diner, Blackeye Pea, Olive Garden, Joe's Crab Shack, Starbucks, Toma Sushi, and more. We are within two miles of major transportation routes: I-25, US Hwy 24, Colo Hwy 21, and 12 miles to the Colorado Springs Airport. A uniquely quiet street with lots of access to many destinations. You can be at the Broadmoor Hotel, Seven Falls, Garden of the Gods or Manitou Springs within 20 - 30 minutes, or going up Ute Pass 15 miles on US Hwy 24 to Woodland Park and the mountains. By the way, Airport Rd does not go to the commercial airport :D but it does have direct access to the west entrance of Peterson AFB. Academy Blvd will take you north to the Air Force Academy, or south to Fort Carson and Cheyenne Mountain Air Station. US Hwy 24 will take you east to Peterson AFB and Schriever AFB.

PARKING This beautiful two bedroom home has two off street parking spots, as well as plenty of free street parking. FRONT PORCH Walk up three steps to a small front porch with hammock swing. Enter the home using a convenient August Smartlock. This smart lock offer keyless entry for 24 hour check in. LIVING ROOM This modern living room has a comfortable wrap around couch that can seat the entire family. There is a 60 inch Apple TV with Hulu, Netflix and Sony sound system. Games are available for guests in the end table and a diffuser is also available on top of the end table. The living room has an ac unit in the window. DINING ROOM Off of the living room, you will find a dining room with a dining table that seats five. On the table, you will find a detailed house manual with restaurant and local area suggestions, details about the space and additional information that may be helpful during your stay. BEDROOMS There are two bedrooms located off the living room. Both have brand new, extremely comfortable mattresses and spacious closets. Each bed has a minimum of four pillows so that guests may choose one that best suits them. One has a queen bed and one has a king bed. There is also an AC in one of the bedrooms. KITCHEN There is a coffee maker in the kitchen that also dispenses hot water for tea. We provide tea, coffee, coffee filters, cream, sugar and sugar-free sweetener. You will find a fully loaded kitchen with everything you will need to cook meals during your stay. We provide pots, pans, bowls, a strainer, utensils, fridge, gas range and oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, blender and a kettle. Salt and pepper are in shakers in the cabinet over the stove. We provide some beverages and even a few Colorado beers in the fridge which you may enjoy (if you are 21+ of course). Cleaning supplies and extra trash bags are under the sink. There is a broom, dustpan and mop in kitchen closet. BATHROOM We leave two bath towels and two wash cloths per guest. We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, q-tips, cotton balls and a few extra rolls of toilet paper for guests. A hair dryer, first aid kit and cleaning products are also available under this sink. Washer/Dryer A washer and dryer are available for your convenience. You will find detergent and a clothing steamer available above the washer dryer. BACKYARD There is a back deck with grill, back patio area with seating and fire pit area that you may enjoy. Please note: firewood is not provide, but can be purchased nearby. You are welcome to smoke anything legal in Colorado in the outdoor areas only. BUSINESS TRAVEL Fast WIFI is available for business travel. The table is dining room is perfect for using as a workspace. A device charging station is available in the master bedroom. PETS This is a pet-friendly listing for pets who qualify. Please message us before booking to see if your pets qualify. We live directly above on the main level & 3rd floor. However the space has a layout that is perfect for those who desire privacy! You enter through the back using a keypad and head down a short flight of stairs to your rooms. Main bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam topper, 39" flat screen TV with DirecTV, large closet & dresser, sleeps 2. This room has a portable AC window unit during the summer (no central AC). Next door is your own private bathroom with custom shower. Towels, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner & bath gel provided. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed with brand new mattress/box spring & large closet. Across the hall from the bedrooms in the landing is your small kitchenette area with mini-fridge, toaster, microwave & coffeemaker. You won't be able to cook a gourmet meal but why would you when downtown Tejon St is 1 mile away? Enjoy coffee and tea in the morning. Head back up the stairs that lead to your little oasis - the back deck/patio! The space has comfy chairs & an outdoor couch, new gas grill with side burner, bar & outdoor sound system. In season, enjoy your coffee or a cocktail outside while you enjoy Colorado's amazing weather! If you smoke, this is the place to do it - we don't allow smoking/vaping in the house - but there's plenty of ashtrays outside. The Hillside neighborhood is 1 mile from downtown Colorado Springs. We are one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city filled with hard working long-standing blue-collar residents. Our house is directly across the street from the old Hunt School, one of the oldest schools in the city that ceased operation in 2016. The school is now home to several local non-profits that directly help the neighborhood. Downtown is 1 mile away, where you'll find Tejon St. populated with fantastic restaurants, cafes, breweries, and shopping opportunities. Our home has easy access to anywhere you want to go in and around the Pikes Peak area! Convenient to I-25 and Hwy 24 up to the mountains. US Olympic Training Center 2 miles away, 4 blocks from Memorial Park. Memorial Park is huge - includes Prospect Lake for fishing/swimming beach/boating, playgrounds, INCREDIBLE skateboard park, walking/jogging trails, an Ice Arena and a public pool complex. We love our neighborhood & our neighbors!

We proudly and directly manage a 5 star cleaning team that has been thoroughly coached in disinfection and sanitation. All touch points, surfaces, kitchenware and linens, including upholstery, are being disinfected and sanitized on a routine basis. Our guests' health and safety are our top priority. About the Home This Victorian Era home was built in 1890 and is filled with vintage charm and character. It has been updated and maintained with love but still retains many original features and historic items. Though the home now sits in a cityscape, the original farmhouse charm has been maintained, with a mix of modern and vintage decor. The home is cleaned professionally between each guest. The original built-in cabinets, farmhouse sink, 8 pane sash windows, and craftsman doors are still in place. The interior is open, peaceful, and sunny. The home is a two bedroom residence that sits on a large corner lot, with old trees and lilac bushes that frame the gated yard. The front yard has a wire gate and the backyard has a new six-foot privacy fence. There is a patio area with seating in the large back yard. Spring visits offer blooming lilacs that are great for cutting. The home is cozy, incredibly clean, and very charming. The property is located less than 10 minutes away from Downtown and 3 minutes away from the Olympic Training Center. There are two playgrounds within walking distance. The home is wheelchair accessible with an entry ramp at the back door and handle bars installed in the shower. MAIN ENTRANCE Access the Farmhouse 24/7 using convenient keyless entry. ADT SECURITY The home is equipped with ADT Security for your convenience. The security system panel is located just next to the back door. You are welcome to arm the system both while you are in the home and also when you are out. LIVING & DINING You will find yourself in the living & dining area as you enter the house. Enjoy a brand new, couch (with pull out sleeper) and a large comfy leather chair for relaxing. The TV has Netflix and iHeartRadio but does not have Hulu or other apps. The left side of the TV stand has a DVD player, remote and a few DVDs. There are some magazines in the top right drawer of the TV stand. There are extra blankets in the coffee table. The baskets in the credenza have some children’s items such as books and coloring books. The bottom 2 drawers of the credenza are loaded with games for you to enjoy. There is a phone charging station and a Bluetooth speaker in the tray on top of the credenza for you as well. There is also an essential oil diffuser on top of the credenza and we left you some essential oils to use. PULL OUT COUCH: The pullout couch is a queen size sleeper which is actually very comfortable. HOUSE MANUAL: You will locate a house manual in the living area. In it you will find local area and restaurant attractions, all information about the space, emergency contacts and more! KITCHEN The fully loaded, spacious kitchen is stocked with supplies for preparing your own meals. COFFEE AND TEA: There is a coffee maker on the counter in the kitchen and we provide coffee, tea, cream, sugar, and sugar free sweetener. COOKING: We provide salt, pepper, pots, pans, bowls, a strainer, utensils, fridge, electric range, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, crock pot, vintage mixer, dishwasher, kettle and more! We try to be eco-friendly so we supply cloth napkins in the wire basket in the glass cabinet above the sink. PANTRY: The light gray cabinet as you enter the kitchen is the pantry. Many guests have left extra dry food so please enjoy these items. Feel free to leave items that future guests may enjoy. FRIDGE: We provide some beverages and even a few Colorado beers in the fridge for you to enjoy (if you are 21+ of course). CLEANING: There are some cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink. FIRE EXTINGUISHER: There is a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink. FIRST AID KIT: There is a first aid kit in the middle drawer to the right of the sink. BEDROOMS FRONT BEDROOM: The front bedroom off the kitchen has a rustic bunk bed with full size mattress on the bottom and a twin on top. Both beds are new, comfy mattresses and have high quality linens and bedding. The closet has several child items including pack n play, booster seat with tray, stroller, baby bath, toy truck, bucket and more! There is also a fan in the closet if you need to use it. MASTER: The back bedroom is the master and features a super comfy queen size mattress with high quality linens and bedding. The master closet has a fan, space heater and an air purifier if you would like to use it. The master closet also has extra pillows, an iron, ironing board and vacuum. The master bedroom has a 10” memory foam queen size bed with a private entrance and a small deck off the back side of the house. The bunk room has a wood frame bunk bed with a full-size bed on the lower level and a twin on top. The couch pulls out into a queen-size bed, with extra linens and blankets stored in the bunk room closet. There is an alarm clock in the second drawer of the night stand if you would like to use it. There is a wicker chair on the tiny back porch which is the perfect quiet spot to sip your morning coffee. BATHROOM We provide fresh towels, spa quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap, Q-tips, cotton balls, toothbrushes and a few extra rolls of toilet paper. The hair dryer and a straightener in the baskets on the wood shelf. LAUNDRY There is a compact washing machine and dryer in the home, and laundry detergent is supplied. There is an iron and ironing board in the master bedroom closet. OUTSIDE PATIO: There is a patio with table and chairs in the fenced back yard for you to enjoy. There is plastic dishware on the bottom shelf of the kitchen island for dining outside. CORN HOLE: There is a corn hole set hanging on the side of the garage in the back yard. Bean bags for cornhole are in a small bin on the shelf by the boards. GIANT JENGA: There is an amazing giant jenga set for you to play with in the large bin against the garage in the back yard. GRILL: There is a propane grill on the patio for you to use. We provide propane to share with as many guests as possible, but if it runs out please consider taking the bottle to refill it. FIREPIT: There is a fire pit and chairs in the backyard that you may enjoy during your stay. You must obtain your own firewood. This lovely space is located on a quiet street that dead ends to a trail head into Garden of the Gods. There is a private entrance in the backyard which leads you to the lower level where you have a private room and full bathroom, including bath towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer. The bedroom is nice and cool In these hot summer months. You will find there is a lot of attention to detail ensuring a memorable stay. **Cleaning fee is included in room rate-nothing is added on or hidden**
You have your own private entrance into the basement, which has a window and lots of light. There are no shared spaces besides the laundry room. Our laundry room is on the same level as your guest room so we may use it during your stay - but we are quiet and respectful of your privacy. The full bathroom with amenities/ towels is just outside your room. Cotton sheets and a new down comforter ensure a good nights rest. A fridge/freezer and microwave is available for your personal use. The basement is connected to the upper level of the house by a flight of stairs. There is a white curtain separating the 2 spaces. If you need to have use of the kitchen during your stay, please let me know so I can give you a tour. :)
I am nestled right up to Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak National Forest. Manitou Springs and Historic Old Colorado City are 10 min from here. I have lots of recommendations based on the nature of your visit.

Little Pine is an upgraded Mountain Cottage, comprised of two units (one upstairs and one down), and is a happy in-between of a quiet, canyon getaway and a centrally located space. Just up the Mountain from the Broadmoor Resort, we are close to many local Colorado Springs must see areas and the perfect base for any visit. If you enjoy hiking, mountain biking or running, we are walking distance to a number of trails in Cheyenne Canyon, the Stratton Open Space and Bear Creek Park. We are a 15 min drive to Downtown Colorado Springs. Your space is completely private and is fully equipped. Sitting Area: with a love seat size sofa, TV (cable) Bathroom: Fully stocked bathroom (small stand-up shower), shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Bedroom/Kitchenette : Full size bed, mini-fridge, microwave, sink, breakfast station (griddle, coffee maker & toaster oven), and small breakfast table. Outdoor Space: Off the sitting area space there is a private patio area - perfect for your furry friends ( if approved) - that has a outdoor table and chairs that welcomes in the fresh Colorado mountain air for morning coffee or evening relaxation. Parking and Entrance: Please pay close attention to directions that will be sent the day prior. There is a designated uncovered parking spot. You will enter through a private entrance on the side of the home, to the left of the front door you will use the keyless entry code that will be provide for self check in. Please note that it is a basement unit and has low ceilings. If you are above average in height this may not be satisfactory for you. Again it’s a small and cozy space.

Located just 3 blocks from our home are a large supermarket, hardware store, drug store, and our favorite thrift store. A locally-owned health food store is 2 blocks from our home as well. Old Colorado City is situated perfectly between downtown Colorado Springs and historic Manitou Springs. We are 10 minutes from Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks Park and Cheyenne Canyon. You can start the breathtaking drive up Pikes Peak Highway a mere 20 minutes from our home. The CS Fine Arts Center, Pioneer Museum, Colorado College, and more shopping and dining are just minutes away in downtown Colorado Springs.

A Colorado Springs approved space: #STR-00016 The unit is accessible via a garden entrance. There are several concrete stairs that turn left from the front door of the home, and lead you to the private unit entrance. The basement IS 100% private, but it IS a basement, in a house that is occupied by 7 people (3 of whom have to get out the door for school on weekdays), so though we will be respectful of your presence, do know that you WILL hear us as we are carrying on normal life. For your convenience, we attempt to keep quiet hours from 8pm to 7am whenever possible. If you are planning on being out and about, enjoying Colorado Springs most of the day, this will be a great fit for you, but if you are looking for a space that will be very quiet all day long, this may not be the best fit. This will definitely NOT be the right fit for you if you are looking for a place that is quiet in the mornings. I repeat, there will definitely be 'life noise' in the mornings and all throughout the day. We offer a really nice and comfortable place to stay (check our reviews), but we want to make sure we are up front about this. :) **NOT 420 friendly. If you are found to have pot products on the premises, you will be asked to leave. ** For the health of all of our guests, we like to keep this a FRAGRANCE FREE zone. Please refrain from using strong perfumes, colognes, and other scents while in our basement. These items are unhealthy for all people, but can be extremely toxic to people with sensitivities or allergies.
The Briargate neighborhood of Colorado Springs offers a lot for families. In the summer there is a new splash pad and jumbo kid friendly park (completed July 2017) 1 mile north. There is a free public BMX park .5mile south at Rampart Park. Just 1 mile south there is a Vietnamese gluten free donut shop which serves THE BEST donuts in Colorado Springs. Lastly, across the street there is a grocery store, Thai restaurant and frozen yogurt store.
