This is the perfect little spot to call home base while exploring Raleigh. Steps away from the Person Street district (Yellow Dog, the Station, Pelagic Beer) and a 25 min walk (or free R-line bus ride) to everything else downtown has to offer.
Beautiful carriage house above garage, detached from the main home by stairwell and completely private. The suite has a full bath and kitchenette with a microwave, sink and fridge as well as a small dining area and living space. The TV has a roku set up, but not cable. Guests will need to climb (1) flight of stairs to access their space as it is on a second story and will also need to walk along a stepping stone side path to enter the space. Please be advised, we have an external video camera on the outside of our home for security purposes :)
This is a quiet and safe neighborhood very close to Downtown Raleigh and walking distance to William Peace University, Downtown and the Person Street district.

Welcome! Our modern suite offers a cozy bed-n-bath combo with private entry from the deck. Watch Netflix on TV from the memory foam bed, breathe easy with a diffuser, store leftovers in the mini fridge, and wake up to Keurig coffee in the morning! Private electric air unit, too. We are located in a quiet, wooded neighborhood near the “Crossroads” of US-1 and I-40, just a short drive to anywhere in the Triangle. We can give plenty of local recommendations, too. We look forward to hosting you!
We love our house and do our best to make it nice. Everything is newly remodeled. We are happy to provide essentials for your stay - towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, etc. Note: the TV has Netflix and YouTube but not cable or other services. The Modern suite also has an electric air unit mounted for both hot and cold air. The remote is in the desk drawer. Please turn the unit off when not in use (like when you go out). The house also has central air, but the electric unit provides extra comfort and control.
Our neighborhood is wooded and peaceful. There is no traffic or roadway noise. Most of the houses were built in the 1970s. Please park in the driveway if it doesn't have other cars or on the street directly in front of the house.

Come get away from it all—while conveniently located close to everything—at Laurel Branch Gardens, a 12-acre family farm that uses organic growing practices. About 100 yards from the farm house, the cabin is a old tobacco barn fully renovated to include a sleeping loft, full kitchen, bathroom, and living area. Meet the pigs, chickens and goats. Lay in the hammock. Listen to bird calls outside your windows. Practice social distancing in a serene natural setting.
While you’re here, we hope that you'll explore the farm—including a visit to the pigs, goats, and chickens and the trails around the property that lead to Laurel Creek. Or, just come for the great location. Everything is accessible from here: we’re 12 minutes from the airport, 10 from Falls Lake, 20 from downtown Durham and Research Triangle Park, and 25 from downtown Raleigh. For whatever reason you find yourself here, we’ll welcome you with a basket of seasonal produce from our farm (all pesticide-free) and a comfortable and clean space where surfaces are disinfected between guests. All guests welcome! Two medium-sized dogs also call the farm home; both are very loving and likely to come say hi at some point. Please note that, as pictured, a bed and futon are always available. We also have an air mattress and high quality camping pads that can be used when more sleeping spaces are needed; just let us know! We also have spaces for tent-camping if your group wants to spread out. We are happy to host small and medium dogs at the cabin (we are unable to host guests with cats). If you would like to bring a dog, please indicate this in your initial message. There is a $50 non-refundable fee for dogs.
We are in a rural area right on the edge of Durham County. Surrounded on three sides by forests, our farm feels secluded but is also convenient to restaurants, a movie theater, and shopping-the closest of which are less than 10 minutes away. Peaceful is one of the characteristics our guests use most often to describe our farm.

The guesthouse is one mile North of central downtown Raleigh in a quiet neighborhood near Seaboard 18 shopping and dining area. You can walk to breakfast at Yellow Dog bakery, walk to dinner at highly rated restaurants, and end your day with chocolates from local chocolatier Escazu.
This 500 square-foot guesthouse is a private room above a detached garage. It has loft ceilings, generous lighting, a comfortable king-sized bed, full-sized couch with sitting area, and full-sized private bathroom with tub. In-room Keurig coffee maker with coffee pods provided. Includes microwave, mini-frig, and plates and utensils.
The Person Street Corridor is the new hot area in Raleigh. For decades, the main draw on Raleigh’s North Person Street was historic Krispy Kreme. Now the area bordering Oakwood is bustling with new restaurants, bars and an upscale market. Retail shops contribute to the mix, giving the district a nice balance for patrons. There are two restaurants nearby that are almost always booked. I'd recommend getting a reservation as far ahead as possible. Stanbury (Hip, rustic venue for creative, seasonal New American small plates & entrees, plus craft cocktails). And Standard Foods (Hip, contemporary locale featuring updated Southern cooking & a market selling artisanal foods).

Durham, North Carolina, United States

Our renovated 1905 home is quietly tucked away in Historic Morehead Hill, a Durham neighborhood just southwest of the city center. There a sunny and peaceful room, cozy bed and full, private, en suite bathroom await you after a day of sightseeing. From here, it's a 10-minute walk to Downtown, DPAC, & Duke East. Continental breakfast included. We encourage you to read our entire listing including the Getting Around and Neighborhood sections.
Our historic home built around 1905 has been completely renovated and updated. The home is located in a diverse, emerging, historic neighborhood called Morehead Hill (see the Neighborhood section!). It is very safe, active, and near everything if you're willing to walk (we and our neighbors walk just about everywhere - see the Getting Around section!). Overall the home is just shy of 1600 sq/ft, with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Your bedroom, which has a full-size bed and an attached, private, full bath, is located in the front of the house, just inside the front door for your ease in coming and going. Plus, the room has both honeycomb shades and black-out drapes for adjusting your desired level of privacy and light. Your quiet, sunny room includes a desk, reading chair, and the bed is extra comfy with a pillow top. People spend a lot of time outside enjoying the beautiful North Carolina weather and our neighborhood is no different. There is a large front porch for sipping some tea and a wonderful screened in back deck for morning coffee or relaxing with a cold beer. While you can't see it from the street, our backyard is like a little green cave with mature trees and a little creek. We especially love how private, quiet and wooded it is even though we are so close to downtown. From our screened-in back porch we've spotted foxes, owls, hawks, raccoons, opossums, and an abundance of squirrels and birds.
Morehead Hill is a designated historic neighborhood which is rich in history and beauty. It is a primarily older, working-class neighborhood that is transitioning to a younger, middle-class, family neighborhood. People are drawn here for the houses, the Montessori Magnet grade school, and proximity to Downtown Durham and Duke University. The neighbors, people from all walks of life, are friendly and warm which adds richness, charm and character to this diverse area. A few of our neighbors are African-American, Asian or Hispanic. Some are from working-class families who have lived in the neighborhood for years. A few of our neighbors are older retirees who never want to move. Some of our neighbors have quite a bit of wealth and others are economically challenged. We have many couples, some with children, some without children, some older empty-nesters, some gay, some straight and some single folks just starting out on their own. There are renters and owners mixed in together. It's diverse! Currently there are five properties (including ours) that are renovated to look like new on our street and 3 that are not. This is typical of the entire neighborhood with homes in various stages of reconstruction and renovation (or not). It is safe and quiet and just keeps getting more and more beautiful as each home is revitalized. Despite historians considering this is North Carolina's first suburb, this is a city neighborhood, not a subdivision where every home is the same. Each home was built during a different era for an individual family based on their wealth at the time. Each home has taken on the personality of the families who lived in them year after year, and while there is a consistent look and feel to the neighborhood thanks to its historic designation, it is not Mayberry. We also don't have a homeowners' association making people do things to beautify their dwellings. We encourage you to use Street View where you can "tour" the neighborhood to see if the it meets your needs to experience a 5-star stay. The revitalization in this neighborhood is attracting many new businesses to the area. The Durham City CoOp opened just a few blocks away and new joints, Grub, Local Yogurt, Joe Van Gogh Coffee opened this summer. We have older businesses that are supported by life-long customers mixed in with new entrepreneurs. You will need to walk a few blocks out of our residential neighborhood to get to places to eat, drink and shop. Please see the "Getting Around" section under the Location tab at the top of the listing page and review the map on this listing page to get a sense of where we are in relation to your desired destination. Ask Alice about her "doily" theory if you want to know more. We love it here and we hope you will too!

This sweet home is in a great location! It's in walking distance to Broad Street and 9th Street where you can find coffee shops, restaurants, local stores, banks, groceries, etc. The home is also nearby to Costco, Home Depot, Rite-Aid, etc. Our home does have a small footprint, but a very comfortable layout. There are two separate bedrooms with decent closet space. The living room has a pullout sofa, a TV, and a dedicated desk.
The kitchen has automatic lighting that turns on when entering the room, a kitchen table that expands, and a coffee / tea counter. The kitchen is fully equipped with the basics if you choose to make your meals at home. The driveway is private and the backyard is filled with trees. There is parking for several cars or the ability for one car to turn around. This place is great for events at Duke University or DPAC, easy access to Duke Medical Hospital, and is in walking distance to lots of options!
The home is on a main street - so there is some traffic noise. The home is insulated and feels very peaceful to us. The neighborhood has primarily older restored homes and has several parks including a park that is one block away.

**Back and better than ever! After closing for a year for renovations and 2 major surgeries I’m happy to say I’m back. Many apologies to anyone I had to cancel or decline for either of those reasons** You’ve seen them on TV... here's your chance to spend the night in a true tiny house! Enjoy a cushy queen bed, full bathroom with tub, and cook a light meal in the pint-size kitchenette. Pets are welcome in this small space, and the home opens onto a fully fenced yard so they can run and play.
It may be diminutive, but the tiny cabin comes equipped with everything we hope you'll need during your stay, be it one day or a whole week. You'll enjoy restful sleep in a real, queen-size bed. There is a bistro table where you can fire up your laptop, read a book, or sip a cup of coffee. No stall shower here - the bathroom has a full-size tub. The kitchenette is equipped with an electric cooktop, mini-fridge, sink, toaster, coffee maker, along with dishware and utensils. Stay comfortable with a dedicated heat and AC unit that can be set to your liking. There is plenty of space to play outside, too! The tiny house is set at the back of a quiet residential lot and opens onto a fully fenced yard. There is a small, covered front porch for sitting when the temperature is nice, and there is even a backyard basketball court!
Located roughly 10 minutes from downtown Durham, Duke’s Campus, and Duke Hospital you’ll love exploring this standout southern city. Sample our award-winning restaurants and breweries, take in a Durham Bulls baseball game, or stroll the floral-strewn paths of Duke Gardens. The tiny house is located north of the city in a quiet residential neighborhood, just 10 minutes from Duke/downtown and 25 minutes from RDU Airport/Chapel Hill. We are located at the end of a short cul-de-sac with plenty of parking and zero traffic. There are two Starbucks stores less than a five-minute drive away, along with gas/grocery/etc.

Durham is coming back to life. When we moved here 12 years ago a major restoration was underway. Old tobacco warehouses were being remodeled into incredible restaurants, shopping centers and loft apartments. This neighborhood has that same charm. It's a beautiful blend of older homes with character and newly renovated. That's what we love. You will find wonderful neighbors of various ages and races.

The house feels like a modern tree house in the woods. It's centrally located to Duke, Downtown, Research Triangle Park, and shopping. The upstairs private space is one bedroom with a queen bed, the living room has a twin day bed which is great for a child.
As someone who works from home I appreciate super fast internet, so this home has 50mg wifi (often more like 200mg). I also have the kitchen stocked with staples, and quality coffee and tea.
Super safe quiet neighborhood but convenient to great restaurants, shopping, and the universities.

Christian home located about 10 minutes from downtown. There is a private room and shared bath. Breakfast is available if you so desire. Let me know of any issues you may encounter while staying here at the Lake's residence in Durham. I am here to serve you. Your comfort and satisfaction matters.
My space is unique because it is clean, quiet, and welcoming. It is located in a nice and safe neighborhood. You can go for walks in the morning and there is a pool behind my house. It closes at the end of August but there is also a small pond close to the pool. You can relax there and read a book. There are benches available for you to sit.
I live in a quiet neighborhood in Durham NC. This is about 7 minutes from Brier Creek parkway in Raleigh . There one can Dine out in restaurants of their choice.

You will stay in a newly renovated 1915 simplified Queen Anne home two bedroom first-floor unit located on the edge of Durham's Cleveland Holloway neighborhood with immediate access to downtown's farmers market, restaurants, and bars. A large well-appointed kitchen with lofted ceilings and a large live edge slab table, clawfoot tub shower, and hotel quality bedding await you. The only bathroom is located in the master bedroom, something guests should consider prior to booking.
We completed the renovation of this unit with Zarazua Enterprises in late May 2018, so everything from electric, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances are brand new. The kitchen features brand new LG appliances and is equipped with all the features required to cook and relax in the house. The living room has a wall mounted 55" TV equipped with Roku and an Apple TV. We provide Netflix and Hulu. We have all the premium Hulu channels (Live, HBO, Showtime) so this is the best service to use. The bedrooms both have queen sized beds and reading lamps.
The Holloway Street District is one of Durham's most historic, built up during the tobacco boom in the late 1800s. The neighborhood is adjacent to downtown, so you can chose to stroll through the beautiful architecture and history of the neighborhood, or go directly downtown

We went retro with the decor, mostly because of the amazing original pine hardwood floors throughout the entire house. It has given the entire place a warm amber glow that is both welcoming and relaxing. Our neighborhood is unique because each house is it's own. There are no two houses the same color or design. Our house and many others are on the national historic registry of homes.
Your bedroom is completely private. Your bathroom, while not attached to your bedroom is right next door and is only for your use during your stay.
Durham has a walk score of 91! This means that you can run most of your errands if not all without a car. It is also extremely bike-friendly as well. Our house is about a .4 miles / an 8-minute walk from downtown. There you will find the city hall, the post office, many shops, restaurants, breweries, and bars, with Tobacco Road/Durham Bulls park, DPAC and the Carolina theater a 10 min walk away, If you feel like making a night of it, Geer street (.5 miles away) and is fun / lively on any given night. There are little parks, dog parks and green spaces tucked into nooks and corners all throughout the city. I like to run and will usually make my way to Duke east campus in the evenings, there is a track that goes all the way around the school. It is almost 2 miles in length and it makes for a great evening stroll or jog. There is also a Whole Foods on the far end of the campus that is perfect for grabbing a quick bite if you can't decide what to eat and you are hungry! There are lots of bars and restaurants in that area too if you get tired of exploring and need a break. We really enjoy this neighborhood and find it to be the perfect mix of urban and solace.

Kick up your feet in our adorable, newly constructed, and very comfortable guesthouse close to downtown Durham and Northgate Park. Walking distance to green ways, grocery stores, restaurants and the Museum of Life and Science – and a short, easy drive to everything in and around downtown Durham. This well-appointed spot has everything you need for a quick weekend away or a month-long stay. We welcome healthcare workers responding to the COVID-19 crisis. Contact us for discounted rate.
Our guesthouse has a spacious deck, vaulted ceilings and gets great natural light. The lovely, open studio space includes a comfy queen-sized bed, a dining table and lounge chairs for kicking back to stream whatever you’re currently bingeing through the Roku. There is also a full kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, etc.), a full bath and roomy closet. Parking is available in our driveway close to the guesthouse (there is plenty of street parking as well). Guests may also have access to our laundry room, if needed. The guesthouse was constructed as part of a big home renovation that we completed in December 2019, so it’s brand new! We have a dog that guests may see when she's in the yard. She's very playful and extremely adorable.
The Colonial Village/Northgate/Braggtown area of Durham has a very neighborhood-y feel and guests can expect to see plenty of people walking their dogs and kids playing in yards. We also provide all natural organic soaps and shampoos. Kitchen: Enjoy a home-cooked meal in our fully equipped kitchen with oak wood countertops, a Frigidaire electric range, Bosch dishwasher, single basin farmhouse sink with garbage disposal, and all the pots, pans, knives and utensils required to create your favorite dish. Wake up by making coffee in a Ninja Coffee Bar or relax with smoothies from the Oster Pro blender or tea from the electric water kettle. We provide a great selection of teas and locally roasted coffee. The bedrooms: We care about a good nights rest and provide two queen beds and one single bed with top of the line mattresses, high thread count sheets, and overhead reading lamps. Location The home is located right in between East and West campus at Duke University and convenient to Duke and city public transit. Guest suite 15 minutes from RDU airport, 8 minutes from Brier Creek and 15 minutes from Duke hospital. Semi-private entrance on entirely separate floor (see photos). Tastefully furnished and styled with a local flair with handmade queen-sized bed, work desk, end tables and 40 inch television. Kitchenette with coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. Full bathroom with all the touches.
Guest suite with a small kitchenette on the first floor of a large townhome with all the essentials and then some . Approximately 300 square feet which is on the smaller size. Semi-private entrance on a separate floor with self check in. Please note, A sweet pit bull who is still working on his manners (he will lick you to death if given the opportunity) does live on the property. He will be gated upstairs at all time, but you will be using the same entrance door he does for his walks . Additionally, the suite does not include access to the upstairs living areas, upstairs kitchen and laundry room. For guests who stay longer than 1 week we can discuss laundry services. The goal is to create a nearly private guest suite with a hotel like experience at a fraction the price. But this is not a hotel nor a totally private experience.
Family friendly and quiet neighborhood situated ideally between Duke and RDU. The neighborhood is wonderful for exercising and evening walks, but restaurants and entertainment requirement a quick car ride or Uber ride.

Located 1/2 mile from Duke East Campus, 1 mile from downtown Durham and Durham Bulls Ball Park, and just over 2 miles to Duke Main and Duke University Hospital, this is the perfect location for visiting Durham! Filled with all the amenities you will need, come and enjoy your stay.
We were drawn to this place because we are big Duke fans! Located in Duke Towers this is a great space to enjoy the community from your 2nd story, end unit. Enjoy the pool (during Season) or giant chess board in the main center terrace. We love the beauty of the campus (especially Duke Gardens), walking through the basketball museum and looking at the legends that have played there, admiring the architecture of all of the buildings (especially the cathedral)… but our favorite part of Duke, is the hospital because they saved our son’s life. We have 5 kids ages 9 years to 9 months. Are middle child, #3, was diagnosed with brain cancer on his 2nd birthday and was immediately rushed from Raleigh to Durham to get the best treatment available. Duke doctors and nurses rallied around our family and took such great care of us as we battled, and ultimately conquered, cancer. Our son is now 5 ½ and is doing amazing. We have the amazing team at Duke to thank for that!
Be amongst Durham locals in a neighborhood filled with Duke students, grads, and employees. Set in a quiet townhome community located minutes from Duke and Downtown Durham.

You'll be in the "tastiest town in the south" and hosted by an Airbnb Belo Award recipient. This private 2-bedroom guest apartment is a welcoming & quiet respite outfitted with king & queen Casper beds. Comfy living room w/fireplace; wifi, kitchenette; TV. And a lovely rejuvenating garden that's worth a stroll. The two-bedroom flat is just off University Drive, a half block from Forest Hills Park. The apartment's private entrance is from the carport. There's a guest closet in each bedroom. One bedroom is equipped with TV, DVD, radio, CD. The living room sofa is outfitted with linens, too, should an extra bed be needed. A pack-&-play is provided for those with infants and toddlers. Wireless internet. Work desk. The lovely, fenced garden with patio is just through the garden gate. This space is ideal for business conference & film/arts/festival attendees, touring artists or crew, med center visitors or university student family members, wedding or graduation guests. Guests are especially fond of the garden where they frequently enjoy morning coffee or evening drinks when the weather allows. A bottle of chilled Prosecco in the mini-fridge awaits your arrival on check-in. Ample breakfast amenities are provided. Enjoy morning coffee or tea or an afternoon cocktail out in the garden. Breakfast items provided include coffee, tea, oatmeal, granola, fresh fruit, yogurt, milk, juice, English muffins & more. You’ll find imported chocolates in your welcome basket when you arrive. A Nespresso coffeemaker is provided in the kitchenette. (Please note that this AirBnB space doesn't really lend itself to long-term stays for those who desire to prepare full meals on site, as the kitchenette only features a microwave -- but no cooktop or stove.) This property is conveniently located 1 mi. from DPAC & the Durham Bulls stadium; 1.5 mi. from central downtown & the Carolina Theatre; 3 mi. from Duke's West campus & Duke Med Center. Please don't hesitate to inquire if there are issues you'd like to clarify before confirming your reservation. I've had a wonderful five-year-plus affiliation with Airbnb, and have even hosted two "Airbnb weddings" here in the garden. I was fortunate to attend the Airbnb Open conference in Paris in November 2015, along with 5000 other Airbnb hosts from 110 countries gathered for the event. Tragically, the horrendous terror attacks occurred on the second night of the conference. In November of 2016, I joined 7000+ hosts from 100 countries for the Airbnb Open in Los Angeles, where Airbnb premiered their TV commercial about my having hosted the Airbnb wedding. The festive Belo Awards Ceremony was held at the historic Orpheum Theatre, hosted by James Corden -- with Lady GaGa and Maroon 5 as the night's entertainment! You can learn more about your host, his arts-related company 'goingbarefoot,' view the Airbnb commercial & more by visiting the goingbarefoot website. Your host donates ten percent of all Airbnb proceeds in support scholarship programs of The Experiment in International Living.
This Airbnb apartment in Durham is on the edge of the historic Forest Hills neighborhood, convenient to downtown, and easily accessible off the Durham Freeway. We're approx. 15 minutes drive from Chapel Hill, 20 minutes from RDU Airport, and a half-hour from Raleigh. Numerous informational publications about Durham's acclaimed local cultural & culinary attractions are provided on site, and your host will happily share facts and fiction about all. Durham is a creative, welcoming, diverse, vibrant city community. (If 21c chose Durham as home to one of its incredible museum hotels, then you know it has a pretty cool vibe.) Here's a wonderful introduction to Durham's food scene -- aired on PBS in September 2018: https://www.pbs.org/video/durham-jdk0nf/ It's slightly less than a 30-minute leisurely walk from the house to central downtown Durham, and a few minutes less over to DPAC or the Bulls stadium. Depending on policies in place, taxis, Uber & Lyft are easily accessible; it's about a $6 ride-share fee to be taken downtown, and usually around $22-24 to or from RDU. Central Downtown Durham offers a Bull City Connector fare-free bus system. The historic Amtrak station near Brightleaf Square is less than 1.5 miles away. Electric scooter share programs operate in Durham, and a couple of car rental sites are under two miles away from the Airbnb apartment. The northern entrance to the 22-mile American jogging & biking trail is slightly less than one mile away, near the Bulls stadium. Forest Hills Park is a half-block away.
