The micro brewery Kølster opened this bar/café some years ago. Very good atmosphere and obviously absolutely fabulous beer. Got voted best beer place in 2015. Since then they have been sprawling. Now half the bar doubles as a café and mini bakery during the day. So from 8 am you can get excelent coffee and delicious organic bread. They also sell nice Italian gelato. In 2018 they opened a restaurant specializing in seafood. I have yet to try it but it looks very inviting and popular!

Nice Vietnamese restaurant. Very authentic and quite popular - so often fully booked. They also do take away.

Nice bakery. Especially their cakes are amazing. They also have small cafe. My own favourite is 'Christianshavnerkagen' - ask for that, it's excellent ;-).

This new restaurant just opened during the spring of 2018. It's the guys from the next door beer bar who decided to also start a restaurant specializing in fish and seafood.

Parks & Nature

Great place to go for a walk
People often look weird at me when I tell them that the best local sight is the cemetery. But it's true! Assistens Kirkegård is a beautiful park. During the summer you can explore the - to some - macabre local tradition of picnicking in between the tombstones. See if you can find HC. Andersen's, Søren Kirkegaard's or HC. Ørsted's graves (and if you haven't heard of either of them I just revealed how the most famous Danes - are not that famous). You might notice that several graves have QR codes. If you scan them they will bring you to a website that talks about the person buried there. Unfortunately, this is all in Danish.

Shopping

This street is amazing! It's full of small independent shops. Several crafts and design shops. Chocolatier; Cactus specialist; Second hand design clothes etc. Highly recommended!
