The scores are the narrow lanes created over the years by people wearing paths into the soft, sloping cliff as they travelled between the beach village and the High Street.. There is a scores walk ( follow metal fish signs in pavement). Historic area of Lowestoft. Worth walking along sea front to East Point - most easterly point in country. Bit spoilt by the Birds Eye factory and smell of fried fish fingers but still worth doing. The grass area with what looks like wooden goal posts was were the fishing nets were dried and mended.
There is a Scores Race every September if you are fit enough!
