Bars and Cafés
There are some really nice bars and restaurants on Bartók Béla út just down the corner. All mainly visited by locals, these are not the typical tourist magnets.
I'll give you the house numbers:
No 1: Mitzi
No. 23: Béla
No. 29: Kelet
No. 36: Hadik
Let me also recommend you a really unique restaurant on the Pest side where gastronomy and Art Nouveau and Art Deco meet: Hilda
All these restaurants offer really delicious vegetarian dishes, but if you are looking for a true vegan place, just go down the street and on the left at 9 Bartók Béla Street, check out 'Vegan Love'

Delicious food, bohemian chic. The newly renovated interior of the Art Nouveau building with a newly dreamt mosaic wall, lively colors and art deco elements. The diverse flavors to discover, the French light interior, the extraordinary attention and the friendly service are all part of Hilda’s DNA.

Parks & Nature
The nearest park is Gellert Hill. Just walk uphill on Orlay street and keep walking up. There are some really nice watchout points on the way up if you keep walking towards the river on the Eastern cliffs of the hill.

Margaret Island is just north from the centre on the Danube. It’s a popular place for Budapest locals to spend an afternoon, relaxing, doing sports or simply walking around.
