A must trail, a little dirt but easy trail along the peninsula. Stunning River beach if you get out of the trail at the tip (mid point) where you can enjoy the day. Very private.

Sightseeing

Amazing contemporary art in a building where you will experience it like nowhere else. Make sure to visit the John Chanberlain bumpers, peek in the basement, and please don't forget the attic with the big spider sculpture of Louise Bourgeouise, nor the Richard Serra's that are on the far right side as you enter. Also, the Center exhibit of white screens and light tubes from Robert Irwin is something else to experience! And the cafeteria has also the best food, is another Home Spun location.

Food Scene

Awesome breakfast brunch. They make everything there themselves, from the orange juice, lox, to ketchup. Super French toast!

Good for late breakfast and lunch. They have great breakfast burritos, the best quiche I ever tried, and other great selection of local and importer foods. Completely fresh and gourmet for brunch or lunch. Homespun in Main street has also a backyard with tables for outdoor seating (and it is also the cafe at Dia)

Wide selection of local and imported beers and ciders, with a delicious local menu that feels a little French. We love the chicken liver appetizer with the local cheese, it is delicious. The burgers here are something else as well. Make sure to make a reservation or be ready to wait. But it is just across the beautiful waterfalls of the Roundhouse, so the location makes for a beautiful wait.

Authentic and hipster bar from Brooklyn/Japan in the middle on Main Street Beacon. With real Japanese menu and the best Udon/Soba soups you ever tried, as if you had taken a plane to Japan, plus other authentic items and a wide SAKE selection. Everything here is the real deal in this untouched 50's back in time diner with red-orange lighting and wood paneled walls adorned with washed out drawings of geese, where they play the funkiest music and has live DJs and Jazz.
