Food Scene

There are many excellent restaurants on the island. For breakfast and lunch, Cafe Frederica is just down Frederica Rd. Mallory Street Grill in the Village is very good and so is Palmer's. Sea Palms Resort has breakfast on the weekends and lunch every day. Brogrens North and LaPlancha are off Frederica Rd. on the left. Restaurants close by for dinner are many, including Bennie's Red Barn, Tramici, Cilantros, Salt Water, (healthy). The Porch, in the village is a great place to eat with kids as is Iguanas in the Village with fresh local shrimp. Of course for Barbecue there is Southern Soul and Beachcombers down near King and Prince. This place is a plethora of great restaurants and few chain restuarants.
They have good burgers, it's close and there is a variety on the menu.

Drinks & Nightlife

The Village usually has live music at several locations including Village Inn and Pub, Mullet Bay and many more. Tree House at Bennie's Red Barn usually has live music on weekends. Ziggy's is the shag place on the island and also has line dancing nights. Bands play there regularly for the younger st. There are pool tables and the food is far better than regular bar food. They also serve lunch.

Arts & Culture

It is the early history of the English on the island when it was becoming the 13th colony by defeating the Spanish. Historic Christ Church and cemetery is nearby. OTHER POINTS OF INTEREST: On the north end of the island is Cannon's Point Preserve. It is a former plantation with ruins. It is only open on the weekends and Monday's. The Farm is nearby and has all kinds of rescue animals such as horses, pigs, donkey's and goats. Hours are limited. The visitor's Center is near the historic lighthouse and historical society in the village. The World War II museum is fascinating and is located in the former Coat Guard Station. The "Slave Cabins" are near Epworth Methodist Center at Gascoigne Park. They have tours on certain days. Gascoigne also has a cool disk golf course.

There is a Winn Dixie off of Frederica past the roundabout. A Subway is in the same strip center.
The movie theatre, CVS and Cilantros Mexican restaurant are all right there.
