Take a Water Taxi from The Landing which drops you off the other side of Lake Tarawera at the start of the trail. Follow the river to where it disappears down an enormous sink hole, walk down the other side to see the river re-appear as a spectacular waterfall out of the cliff face.

There are various hikes through the redwoods, from a half hour walk to a whole day if your that way inclined. The Redwoods are spectacular.
