To enjoy Sitka's finest dining, walk down the street to Ludvig's to enjoy tapas, seafood, and the best salmon chowder you will ever have. Beware, you often need a reservation! To be safe, stepping in the door and making a reservation versus reserving over the phone has a much higher success rate.

Ashomo's is my absolute favorite spot to get seafood in Sitka. Their affordable, street-style meals only serve locally caught seafood through their food truck window. I highly recommend the black cod tips over coconut cilantro rice!

Sitka National Historical Park, also known as Totem Park to locals, is a beautiful walk in the woods. I believe they are working on the bridge that crosses over Indian River this summer (2017), but you still can get about a mile and a half walk and 5 totem poles before reaching this bridge.
