Parks & Nature

An absolutely lovely walk when the sun's out. On most days you can see across Galway bay to the Burren in Clare. Once you get to the end of the prom tradition dictates that you're supposed to kick the wall. Blackrock diving tower is here as well if you feel like a swim!

Shopping

The Galway market sets up shop here every weekend and some weekdays during the summer and closer to Christmas. (There are more stalls there on Saturday than Sunday.) It's a great place to get a claddagh ring or unique piece of Irish jewelry. There are also fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, fish, curry, sushi, and doughnuts for sale, among other things. I am addicted to the olives and dolmades!
