Take a day, go out to Florence, north on 101 to Yachats for Fish and Chips at Luna's, walk the 504 trail, and if you love art, stop at Earthworks. Then on to Newport to walk the beach, see some of the shops, and if you are ready for dinner there are many good restaurants. My fav...Local Ocean. When it is time to leave, take Highway 20 east to I-5, then south back to Eugene.
