Sightseeing
Things to do and see – A quick Guide
- Køge is a small town - but one the oldest in the kingdom. In town you will find lots of small shops, cafes and a big market place- where things are going on- especially Wednesday and Saturday
- You might want to visit Køge museum (very small) or KØS which is a arena for modern art (quite nice). There is also a Viking Ring (shouldn’t be that interesting though unless you really dig Vikings)
- Just 500 meters away from our address you will find Køge Marina, habour bath and beach. You just have to bike/walk/ under the rail line (turn right in the cross when looking straight forward on the terrace. And walk straight on then you will reach it eventually. You can dine, wine and eat icecream there.
- Close by you find nice forrest, “ÅSen” which is a big forest and you may want to visit “Stevns klint” which is on Unescos World heritage list.
- In Roskilde you will find the old church and museums of Vikings.
- Its easy to access Copenhagen. Take the S train from Køge station or the regional train from Køge Nord. You might want to invest in a travel card or tourist tickets for 24 or 48 hours because its quite expensive to travel with train
