Shopping

For some reason the photos this guidebook have provided don't do this market any justice at all. while one corner has fresh groceries, the market it self is a very modern and large selection of local designer clothes, artisan food, breakfast options, live music and art. same goes for the Queen Vic market in the city. Recommend looking up what's happening at both while you are here!

Entertainment & Activities

Acland St is a well loved little street of St kilda. While quite touristy, it is the home of continental cake shops, Luna Park, Palais Theatre and plenty of good music, food and drink.

Crown Melbourne is Australia's leading Casino and all round entertainment complex. With world beating restaurants such as Nobu, Spice Temple, or Rockpool, Cinema and arcade games, designer shopping and of course Australia's largest Casino, this has something for everyone. If nothing else the view from Southbank's main boulevard over Melbourne's Yarra river is definitely worth making a visit.

Getting Around

Uber is always the easiest and often cheapest option for travellers in Melbourne, but if you are heading to the city specifically, the st Kilda tram connections are cheap, easy and more or less from your front door.
Light Rail either down to St Kilda Beach and Acland St, or alternatively into the City (Central Business District or 'CBD') and onto Brunswick. Trams usually arrive every 5-8 minutes.

This is the closest train station. If the Light rail at Fitzroy St doesn't get you to where you need to go. This train stops at the South Yarra, the MCG and then the city.
