Food scene
Southsea has so many lovely places to choose from to eat but these are some of our favourites...enjoy!
Right on the seafront a fantastic place to sit and enjoy the view. On a really sunny day the roof rolls back and in the winter the wood burner is going and it's really cosy.
Another one of our absolute favs!

The Merchant House
9-11 Highland RdDelicious street food, craft beer and some great gins!
We love this place. It always has a great atmosphere, the food is small plate tapas style and the staff are lovely. There is a tiny cocktail bar downstairs too. We have never had to book for a lunchtime but always for an evening as it gets really busy.

The Canteen is in the Hotwalls and does the most delicious food. We have only ever been here for lunch (it closes at 6pm) and always been lucky enough to sit outside on the balcony overlooking the harbour. We must try the breakfast!

Sightseeing
We recently visited the Dockyard with friends and had a great day out. The tickets were quite expensive (we brought ours on Groupon) but they last a year! We have since been back several times! I love the harbour tour last time the Queen Elizabeth was in the harbour and the time before there was a huge shoal of Sea Bass leaping out of the water!
