Nice day trip from Eagle Creek using Hwy 26 around the south side one Mt Hood. Stops at Timberline Lodge and then back via I-84 along the scenic Columbia River Gorge with the opportunity to stop and visit Multnomah Falls which has a strenuous but beautiful hike to the top of the falls viewing area. There are also numerous other hiking trails to dozens of smaller falls and recreational opportunities along this often used route.
