Ran annually in the 2nd Sunday in June since 1905, making it the oldest trail race in the Untied States.
The 7 miles trail is open year-round starting at Mill Valley and ending at Stinson Beach. Bus returns available from Stinson Beach.
You can start at almost any point along the trail if the 7 miles sounds daunting. :)

Local travel a car is almost a must, Uber and Lyft offer quick and easy transport also. There is a new SMART train for easy travel between cities of Larkspur (San Francisco ferry terminal), San Rafael, Novato, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, and Santa Rosa.
