With its easily identifiable flat top rising up to 1,726 ft, Benbulben Mountain, named after a Gaelic chieftain, is one of Sligo’s most recognizable landmarks. The mountain is formed from Dartry limestone and there are many routes up the mountain if you wish to reach its summit to get a bird’s eyes view of Yeats Country.
But you don’t have to scramble up the steep slopes to fully appreciate its unique shape and size.
Within a short drive from Sligo town lies a lovely looped trail that can bring you right to the imposing mountain.

Many tons of this material, formerly sent to landfill, has been repurposed to produce hand crafted rugs, cushions, fibre art pictures, soft toys and much more.
The shop also showcases a range of other Co Mayo Artists and Crafters.
All proceeds from the sale of Gift of Hands products are donated to other voluntary groups and projects in Mulranny, to support their valuable work on behalf of the community.

On a fine day it boasts fantastic views of Croagh Patrick and Clare Island as you look across Clew Bay.Each of the nine holes have unique features which pose different challenges to all categories of golfer. The course is set up with 18 tee boxes and 9 greens. You also have nine ladies tees.
The course was voted 16th best 9 hole links course in the world in 2020.
