Annually (December 2023) the town of Tavistock in Devon holds a ‘Dickensian Evening’ which kicks off the festive season. The locals and shopkeepers dress up in period costume for the occasion, there is a Christmas lights switch on, street entertainment, late night shopping, street market and it’s a lot of festive fun. Tavistock is just 7.5 miles distance from The Signal Box and The Sidings
