Mines/Caves
Walk out through the gate marked ‘To the beach’, through the forest to the lane at the back. Turn left then bare right at the bottom of the hill and begin following the blue marks on trees and rocks that show the coast path. Follow the coast path towards Fjellstrand. You will come to a big building site where you can walk along the water front all the way to the far end. Climb up the rocks a little way and cross the orange fence to re-join the coast path. Follow the water a little way further and you will find the mouth of the mine’s main tunnel. You can go in and explore, then go down into the second tunnel and go to the right. This tunnel brings you back out to the water’s edge a little further north. It may be a bit muddy in this second tunnel so bring your boots and a flashlight!
