My favorite place for creamy fish soup! The best in town. Their homemade chips, and their burgers are a great treat as well. The location is great. Situated on the docks with great view of part of Oslo fjord, the Kiel Ferry dock, and Fram museum. Only 5 minute stroll away from my place.

100 Henrik Ibsens gateWhere I go for afternoon tea. But not only that. If you want an impressive lunch experience, this might be the place for you. And the bar is a one-of-a kind-style-bar. Art deco-inspired interior. When you finish your tea, lunch or dinner, the nightclub is only one step down, down the stairs :)
Not one of the cheapest, but worth a visit for the experience.

28 Jacob Aalls gateStreet-style food trucks with food from many places on the continent. I have tried several of them, and none of them disappointed me. Mexican, Peruvian, Greek, Indian, Hungarian and Hawaiian all delivered really good food! I keep coming back for all of them! And the 4 bars have a wide selection of tap bear, cocktails and bourbon. Since it is inside a large industrial style hall, it is a great location during fall and winter in Oslo. The building is historic

The oldest part of "Oslo Sentralstation", where you arrive if you take one of the trains from Gardermoen airport in to DT Oslo. Entrance is from the lower level area of the station. It used to be where the trains arrived and stopped. It is now a large market-style food court for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. Even a couple of specialty stores, with a great selection of items! Building is historic and has great atmosphere!

This Christmas market is two stops away from our place, with the cable car. About 30 minute stroll if you prefer to walk and feel the pulse of Oslo. It has small street-style shops with lots of typical Norwegian items and food, winter-bars with hot and cold beverage, alcohol and non-alcohol. You have to taste the "Gløgg" which is a very typical hot Christmas beverage filled with spices and served with almonds and raisins. With alcohol if your 18 and up, non alcohol for kids.

Even during winter you can rent these floating saunas. Ice Cold water feels good combined with the heated saunas. A real fun thing to do while in Oslo. If you walk the boardwalk from my place on the West side, you will pass several of the floating saunas once you enter the "Vippetangen" and "Opera" area of the Boardwalk

Cable car
The cable car is a great way of getting around in Oslo, but be aware that it does not stop for pedestrians crossing the streets. Not even at crosswalks. All traffic, including pedestrians have to yield for the cable cars in Oslo.
