Where and what to eat

There's a huge gastronomy in Oaxaca. Some of the local specialities you must try are: Memelitas, Tlayudas, Tasajo, Chorizo, Moles, tamales, empanadas, barbacoa, dulces típicos, Tejate, chocolate, etc. The most famous Oaxacan dish is mole. There are seven moles but by far the most famous of the seven is mole negro which has more ingredients than you can count on your fingers and toes.
