Campamento Tortuguero Ayotlcalli is dedicated to protect and preserve the endangered sea turtles native to the area. These include Leatherback (Laud), Black Sea Turtles (Negras) and Olive Ridley Turtles (Golfinas). The beach is patrolled regularly to find and save nests and hatch the babies. Great casual dining on the beach in Barra de Potosi. You can eat, swim, and have a superb margarita. Must try the fish a la talla. It takes a bit longer, but is definitely worth the wait! Order before swimming, then enjoy another margarita.
