The Piedras Blancas elephant seal rookery spreads out over 6 miles of beach from Point Piedras Blancas on the central coast of California. The best viewing areas are located 5 miles north of Hearst Castle State Historical Monument in San Simeon. They are 1.5 miles south of Point Piedras Blancas. Enjoy a half mile walk along Panorama street (located at the top of our street) to Del Mar Park. The park has a nice playground area for the kids, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, and fields for sport activities. Don’t forget to look for whales along your walk! Panorama Street is a great place to spot whales and to take in the sunset.
