Old School bar. Typical porteño breakfast: coffee with medialunas, both grasa and manteca (I like this last better); tostado (ham and cheese grilled sandwich). Or an afternoon beer and picada (snacks)

French patisserie, more truistic than Varela Varelita but the food is great, downside you have to order at cashier first, weekday will be less crowded than weekends. Only cash

A big MUST for Don Julio, just two blocks from home, usually crowded but they do take reservations.
A few suggestions if not sure what to order:
Start with some molleja (sweetbread), for main dish one of the best options is Ojo de Bife (Rib eye steak) or ask the waiter if they have a better cut that day. The other cut I personally like and suggest is Entraña (Thin skirt). You can have any of these with a salad or Provoleta cheese with red pepper.
Last but not least two options of suggested Malbecs: la Primera Revancha or Petit Flor.

Interesting combination of good bar tending and natural food, yup! Chic "yoga" restaurant, from the terrace there's a nice view of my beloved Plaza Armenia.

Another good option for argentinean meat. Personally I've not been there since Im not a big fan a meat (not very patriotic of me) but heard the best comments from other guests.

The food is good, but you will love the old school, historic vibe. Personally I'd suggest it for a cold beer and snacks, if you like it you are welcome back any time for a good meal.
