FISHING
Hands down, head for Grout Pond. From the Stratton Town Offices you will pick the Stratton/Sunderland Rd and go West. Just before the road become drit on your left you'll se the sign for the Grout Pond area. Drive to the end and park. There are trails all around the pond, including one that will take you Summerset Res for some really good fishing. If your looking for more go back out on that Stratton/Sunderland Rd and continue till it becomes dirt, on your right there is a parking area for a hike into the Stratton fire tower and pond [the views from the tower are breathless]. For amazing troute fishing continue down the road on your left there is a pond [which you can see from the road] and really small pull off and trail down the woods [if you get the road for Branch Pond / Lye Brook Wildreness you went to far]
By the way if you were to stay on this road it will bring you out in Arlington,Vt and the Battenkill River which is a good fly fishing river.
