The best way to use Salzburg Card
No matter you buy a 24hr, 48hr or 72hr Card, start using the card on the 1st day shortly after 10 am, then you can enter the fortress (Festung) on the last day before 10 and you will be able to enter the Prince’s Chambers (Fürstenzimmer) which is the most beautiful and impressive part of the fortress.
Also, GO TO UNTERSBERG! The regular price of the cable car is almost the same as a 24hr Card. During spring/summer from 10 am to 3 pm is the best. Don't go there too early (fogy) or too late (cold and dark), also not during winter (nothing but snow )
