This beach is my go-to when Balm Beach gets too full (it does happen in the summer months during peek season). Jackson Beach offers more parking (paid), more beach real-estate, boat launch, park for the kiddies, white sandy beaches, washrooms, and also another great location to watch the sunset.

Bluewater beach is stunning. It's easy to miss if you're not looking for it which is what gives this place such charm. Parking can be tough to find though, but the beach is worth it! Beautiful sand dunes, crystal waters of Georgian Bay, and really just a whole lot of privacy. A spot only known to locals and returning guests of the area.

Patterson Park offers a more rocky style beach but is more private and quiet than other beaches. Seasonal washrooms are available and even some Geocaching in the park as well as a small playground for the kiddies. Parking is free.

Little Lake offers a small beach, play area for the kids, dog park, seasonal events, music in the park in the summer, disc golf, and so much more. It's a hot spot in the summer for families and those looking for a quiet place to relax read. In the summer there is a local restaurant in the park - however, since it's close to downtown you can take a short walk into town for something different.

Wasaga Beach is a 25 minute drive from our home. It offers plenty of shoreline to relax with beaches 1 to 3 being the most heavily populated with people. It's also where you will find the restaurants, nightlife, shopping and more. Wasaga has grown tremendously and attracts visitors from around the world. A must go to place if you're into the hardcore lively beach scene. Sunsets here are also incredible and there is plenty of shoreline to keep you busy if relaxing isn't your thing. Parking is paid but cost increases during summer months. But if you park in the provincial park area, the rates never fluctuate and proceeds go to help maintaining the park for everyone to enjoy. During the summer you may also see some parts of the beach closed off. This is because the Piping Plover has made this beach it's nesting grounds. Signs will be posted when nesting in the areas occur.
