Live like locals
Live like locals, that is the best way to understand the real Japanese culture, which cannot be experienced unless you literally live here. The recommendations are what the typical tourists normally cannot experience, so they must make your trip much more unique and interesting. :)
A gem within Tokyo. One of the only natural hot springs within the city. Very clean, well run, and cheap (¥470)! It is also relatively close to our home! A 10 minute walk and you'll be soaking in one of the best onsens in Tokyo.
Note: Tattoos are permitted!

Very traditional (which doesn't mean historical and touristy, more likely representing local Japanese feel) shopping street covered by roof within 15 mins walk from the house. If you're a ramen lover, this area is the heaven! And even there're many various great restaurants, which are for tempura, okonomiyaki, yakitori, or any genres of dishes.

Very traditional temple, which has been visited by many of locals for long. And it's said the name of "Meguro", the name of the district, is actually from this temple.
Obon in August and new years have hundreds of visitors, so if being here in the certain period, will see the very cultural scene.
Every 28th of the month, there's "Ennichi" festival (matsuri) taken place, and then lots of street food stores open all around the temple.

Within 1 min walk from the house, there's pretty big, quiet and relaxing park, which has very unique species that cannot been found in other parks. Trees, flowers, birds and insects, what you see are all changing according to the season, and especially sakura (cherry blossoms) trees are very beautiful every spring.
Used to be the forestry experiment station started on 1900 with 120,000 squire meters, and it takes around 45 mins for walking around.
Also good for run and exercises, and also BLENDIA members run there very often.

Famous for sakura (cherry blossom) and many of visitors from all over Japan come every Spring. (late March to mid April around)
This river is just 10 mins away from the house, and it leads to Nakameguro/Daikanyama area with around 40mins walk, where are very good for shopping, restaurants, and buying second hand clothing. If you like the small & unique stores, this area should suit you better than big cities like Shibuya/Shinjuku/Roppongi etc.

Best coffee places
The coffee shop recommendation from the professional barista. There're many famous coffee shops, but not all the stores are good in taste. We recommend you the great stores, which are leading the Tokyo coffee culture. :)
