If you fancy a swim or a go at the gym, the brand new Forest Hill pools opened up just a few years ago, with some of the detail from the original victorian pools retained.

This is the closest cinema we have, and it is only a couple of years old! And while you are there, go explore East Dulwich and its many lovely shops, bars and restaurants. Bus 185 and 176 will bring you back to Forest Hill in 10-15 minutes or so.

Not an art gallery in the strictest sense, but every now and then the resident artists on Havelock Walk open up their studios for the general public to enjoy (and purchase a thing or two!). Look out for signs for their open days, you might be in luck during your stay!

A lovely park with a small lake, cafe, playgrounds for kids and fields. About half an hour walk from the flat or take 185, 176 or 197 to the Harvester pub stop and walk the last bit.

There are very few wooden areas in London, but this is one! Not huge, but well hidden and mainly known to the locals. Go for a lovely little stroll to get away from the big city hustle and bustle.
