Captain Phillip at Edisto Saltwater Cruises
Captain Phillip Albenesius is a Certified Master Naturalist and US Coast Guard licensed Master Mariner (25-ton near coastal) with over 40 years of experience shrimping, fishing and exploring the waters of the South Carolina coast. From 1978 to 1982, Captain Phillip crewed and captained shrimp trawlers for Bell Buoy Seafood at Edisto. He is also a South Carolina licensed Professional Geologist, practicing geology in the state for the past 33 years, and a U.S. Army veteran having served in Europe during the mid-1980s as a Combat Engineer platoon leader.
