Wonderful place about 30 minutes from the cabin. This state park sits over 2000 ft above sea level, so you will have some of the best views in GA. Includes, lookout tower, fire tower, Native American stone wall, swimming lake!

We did the Cartecay River Loop Trail hike and it was great! 3.2 mile loop through beautiful wildflowers, with half of the hike running alongside the Cartecay River. Did this hike with 2 toddlers so it took some time :)
Use the AllTrails App to stay on the track, or just "stay left" and you'll be good!
