Coastal

Coastal areas with nice walks and coastal pubs.
Lovely spot to take in the scenery. You can even walk across the beach between Little Haven and Broad Haven at low tide. You’ll find pub favourites and local caught fish specials at a The St Brides Inn, which is a real traditional family friendly coastal pub.... their Mediterranean style fish stew is a favourite!! There is also the Castle Inn serving traditional pub grub or if you just fancy a pint and packet of crisps you have The Swan Inn.

A lovely part of the coast, especially popular with families as the beach is what I would class as a safe, open beach with rock pools. Great place to have a walk, or just relax with a tray of fish and chips.

Nolton Haven is a hamlet halfway along the coast of St Bride's Bay. It is included within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. When the tide is out the beach is a mixture of stones and sand but fairly sheltered and is popular for swimmers all year round. The car park is right by the beach, which makes it an ideal stop off for a picnic or if you just want a couple of hours relaxing on a smaller, quieter beach. High tide is great for paddle boarding and swimming.

Melin Tregwynt woollen mill can be found in a remote wooded valley on the Pembrokeshire coast. There has been a mill on the site since the 17th century, when local farmers would bring their fleeces to be spun into yarn and woven into sturdy Welsh wool blankets. It is a working mill, owned by the same family since 1912. They have a great millshop & cafe and well worth a visit for a look at their day to day workings in the mill followed by coffee and cake or light lunch, enjoying the lovely surroundings. Ps, If you’re going to treat yourself to a Welsh keepsake to remind you of your Pembrokeshire holiday, I’m sure you’ll find something here!
