Food and Drink
My fav bar with a good beer selection and vibe. Food menu is limited, but the pizza is great and type of pizza changes nightly. Lots of friendly locals, so a great spot if you're solo or feeling social.

Good dive bar vibes inside and a chill area outside. One of the few places that serves food later and their menu is extensive and better than traditional bar food. They do take out as well.

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots — really good breakfast burritos, but they have a huge menu covering all meals. Vegan and vegetarian options, too. That old school diner feel.

Strong choice for a sit-down restaurant in Mariposa — great beer selection and menu and my go-to for burgers (vegan options as well). They also have a nice large outdoor sitting area.

High Country is a great health food / grocery store and sells a lot of locally made products, but they also have a killer little cafe inside that’s great to stop by before heading into Yosemite to get lunch or breakfast to go.

Another great little bar serving beer, wine, and hard kombucha -- no food, but a great outdoor area in the back to hang out.

My favorite coffee spot in town and just down the street, so easily walkable when you're still half asleep. Great coffee choices and even have a few good options for morning snacks. I usually go for the Sticks Latte, or something seasonal, and the avocado toast.

Adventure
Need a rush? Jump from 14,000 feet and get an insane view of Yosemite valley on the way up. Paul and his team are fantastic and probably one of the best skydive locations anywhere.

This is a great little trail that's easily accessible from where you're staying. It makes a great hike or place to do a little trail running. It can be as long or as short as you'd like and I'm happy to point out different routes on Google Maps or Strava or whatever.
As with anywhere in Mariposa or Yosemite, in the warmer months, just watch where you step. We do have rattlesnakes and I've almost stepped on one in Yosemite on a hike. Don't freak out, they aren't aggressive and generally stay out of the way of humans :)

Yosemite 2021
Right now Yosemite access is limited, so make sure you’ve checked the National Park Service website and have either applied for a pass, plan to use YARTS (public buses that go into Yosemite - can be taken right from Mariposa!), or have made other appropriate arrangements, so that you don’t get turned away at the gate.

Pioneer Market
If you’re planning on staying an extended period, Pioneer Market is the local grocery store and has the best prices in town for food. The kitchen here should have everything you need to cook instead of eating out every night and snacks in Mariposa will be less expensive than buying food in the park - and more convenient.
