Relaxing
Our beach is a long curve with a rocky headland at the southern end and a wide creek at the north. Dolphins regularly swim just off shore, kites and eagles swoop for fish and turtles come ashore for nesting.
From November to May, swimming is great, with lifeguards on patrol. Waves do crash and surfing can be done when there are strong breezes.

Saturday is market day at nearby Canacona, also known as Chaudi.
This is also the place to go to or arrive from if travelling by train or bus (check trains stop, otherwise Margao/Madgaon is the best option).

Sightseeing
Hire a scooter and head for Cotigao. Access is very simple and you can drive yourself along forest paths where you may see an elephant or tiger, but more likely langur and macaque monkeys, snakes (when wet), butterflies and lots of birds.
