Food scene

They have a wonderful pizza oven and the family that own and operate the place are lovely. They are only open Friday - Sunday and you might need to book ahead, but the pizzas are great! They also have a tree / plant nursery to buy wonderful plants there as well.

They have a nice garden and lovely pool. I find food service a bit slow, so be prepared to hang out for a while. Samosas and chips are however fast and tasty.

LOVELY swimming pool! This is a wonderful non-alcoholic option for grabbing lunch or dinner or a relaxing afternoon by the pool. Food takes its time, but I have not had complaints with what I have eaten there.

Out of the three lodges we have in Maanzoni, the food here is the best. When they are busy they normally have a large buffet, they have a very large pool as well.

Sightseeing

This is quite an interesting stop on a road not too far away.. Supposedly if you bring water here, the local guides will show you where the water runs up the hill instead of down. If you put your car in neutral it will start to climb the hill and gain speed as well. Is it Gravity, is it Magnets or just good old Magic... why not pop by and see what you think!

Mountain Biking

Feel free to bring your mountain bikes to the estate. We do not have buffalo or rhino, and lion have been know to keep to LuKenya Hill area so far, so you are relatively safe here. Keep a good distance from any animals you see, stay on the roads and trails, and either bring a puncture repair kit or have bike slime in your tyres as we do have quite a few thorns. Make sure to carry lots of water to drink, and we find it best to ride around early morning before it gets too hot, but otherwise enjoy yourself.

Walking around the estate...

Feel free to go for long walks and explore the wildlife estate. Keep in mind there are lots of wild animals, keep a very good distance from them and of course never try and feed them. Keep all litter with you as we are a conservancy corridor and need to keep our areas clean. If you would like to arrange for a walk with rangers let us know and we can put you in touch with them.

Driving in the Wildlife Estate - SPEED LIMITS

Keep in mind you are in a wildlife conservancy corridor and a private estate. Keep speed limits to STRICTLY no more than 40kph or less. We have tons of wildlife here, we do not want to see you get into an accident, injure or kill our creatures here be they small chameleons crossing the road to large giraffes out for a feed. Relax and enjoy the environment, have your camera and binoculars handy!

What to bring...

Clothing: It can get quite chilly at night, so bring something warm to wear. It can get quite hot during the day, bring your swim suit for lounging in the cuddle puddle, and some lightweight clothes to stay cool during the day. Always bring a hat to protect yourself. Sightseeing: If you are going for walks and looking to check out animals, then bring your camera and a good pair of binoculars with you. Travelling with Dogs: ALWAYS keep your dogs on lead while outside of the fenced area and make sure to stay on the paths and roads. We have lots of wildlife and cannot have dogs chasing them.
