1040 Matunuck School House RdWhale Rock Trail
Beautiful, easy trail taking you out to the edges of Camp Varnum. Good mix of walking through the woods and along the beach
How to get there - Don’t type in whale rock trail into google maps -- will take you to the wrong place)
Once you get out to Boston Neck Road, take a right and then take a left onto Old Boston Neck Road. There is a small parking lot by the main road just as you turn in or there are about 4 parking spots at the trailhead located a bit further down the road (located at the intersection of Old Boston Neck Rd + Baker Rd or if you put in 95 Cormorant Point Rd in google, it’ll take you there).
It looks like you’re pulling into someone’s driveway at first, but there are about 3 parking spots off to the right when you pull in. There is a sign that’ll indicate you’re in the right spot. Walk straight down the driveway, the house will be off to your right, but continue walking straight and you’ll start to find the path / wood planks. It’s worth it!
