South of Dallas is Windmill Hill Nature Preserve. It’s in Duncanville. There are no facilities and it is not paved. Plan about 2-3 hours winding your way through the woods, a babbling brook and the Stevie Ray Vaughan crossing. When you’re finished go to Costco up the street and reward yourself with their amazing food court Pizza, Chicken Bake or Hotdog. You don’t need a membership to visit their food court. Enter through the exit doors.
