If you're coming to the Smokies, you should definitely squeeze in some historic sites! One that we love and very close to our home is the Walker Sisters Cabin. The route we like best is the Little Brier Gap trail – it's 4 miles roundtrip and good for all skill levels. At the trailhead, check out the Little Greenbrier Schoolhouse too!

If you're coming to the Smokies, you should definitely squeeze in some historic sites! One that we love and very close to our home is the Walker Sisters Cabin. The route we like best is the Little Brier Gap trail – it's 4 miles roundtrip and good for all skill levels. At the trailhead, check out the Little Greenbrier Schoolhouse too!

Access to Foothills Parkway is within a minute from the home. It's a gorgeous scenic drive maintained by the National Park Service. It also leads to other major cities like Knoxville in case you fly in/out of there.

The Dollar General in town offers a great selection of products (more than your typical dollar store). If you find yourself needing toiletries, snacks, a quick frozen meal, hardware supplies or even fresh basic produce, do yourself a favor and stop here first!
