Food scene
If you're looking for a wine tasting look no further than Maui Wine, formerly called Tedeschi Vineyards. There's a gift shop, walking paths, and grounds where King Kalākaua (The Merrie Monarch) used to host hula performances. Look for the circle of carved tree trunks; that's where the performances would happen. Across the street is the Ulupalakua Ranch store where you can dine on elk burgers and shop lots of paniolo (cowboy) goodies. The wine we've given you in your studio is made from grapes on these sprawling hillsides and Mr. Cost has painted many paintings from this region.

In the spring/summer they have strawberry picking. There's lots of photo ops with artistically built wooden set pieces, some of which represent historic buildings on Maui. Lots of fun for kids and couples alike.

Kula Country Farms
