For the adventurous, Blà Bheinn mountain summit offers wonderful views of the Cuillin mountains, the Isle of Skye and the Isle of Rùm. You can see the Outer Hebrides on clear days . This is a serious venture for experienced mountaineers as the ascent is difficult and can be dangerous in poor weather.

The Glenelg-Skye ferry is the last manually operated turntable ferry in Scotland and is a gem. The ferry at Kyle of Lochalsh closed with the opening of the Skye bridge but the Glenelg ferry gives you the chance to “go over the sea to Skye”
Glenelg is a beautiful spot with a sandy beach and very good food at the highly rated Glenelg Inn. The Brochs (small castles built 2000 years ago ) are the best preserved in Scotland. The Bernera barracks (built 1719 and abandoned 1793) are interesting but are closed due to the danger of falling masonary.
