The Hitchcock Woods is a "must see" 2000+ nature & equestrian preserve in the heart of downtown Aiken! With 65 miles of walking & riding trails through old growth forest, past sparkling ponds & specimen plants. You may see "four in hand carriages," walking horse mules and million dollar race horses in training along with pleasure riders of all disciplines! A favorite for dog walkers; obedient dogs off leash are welcome. Tall pines and hardwoods make this one of the coolest places for a summer walk...both in temperature and scenery! Closest entrance to the condo is right at the intersection of Laurens and South Boundary Avenue. There is parking at the entrance gate. Enjoy!
