Essentials

The closest of the well stocked Zona Sul chains outlets (which are everywhere in Ipa/Copa). Don't imagine groceries are cheaper here - it depends what you buy. Anything imported is much pricier.

Supermarket with a great little salad bar at the back for takeout or eat in (bar tables). Also fruit salad, juices, pastries. Love the 'pão de queijo' (in the bread section) when warm and fresh.

Drinks & Nightlife

Great colourful restaurant with varied menu. For a more chilled out vibe go upstairs and sit on cushions around the table.

Food Scene

Lovely little restaurant with terrace and great vibe. Dishes range from risottos to steaks. Cocktails and ice-cream are also highlights. Same owner as Via Sete on Rua Garcia d'Avila.

Excellent quality "kilo" restaurant - where you pay for food by weight Very common in Brazil, & something NY seems to have picked up on! A bit pricier than some of the others.
