Neighbourhoods
Whitstable and Tankerton is a pretty and relaxed seaside town. You can walk to Whitstable or catch the bus there. Lovely walks along the seafront with lots of independent shops, fishing harbour, beach huts, seafood stalls. Walk along 'The Street', a street that stretches for a mile out into the sea just off Tankerton (watch out for the tides). From the harbour go on board a historic Thames Barge or get a speedboat out to the WW2 forts or spot Sea Lions on the sand banks (pre-booking is advised).

Coming by train - hire a car
Situated in the Canterbury West car park and Castle Row car park (at the top of the road from the hotel) is a car rental company where you can rent a car by the house and arrange it all through an app. No keys to collect just simply book it, go to the car and drive away. There are of course lots of other car hire companies who hire for the day but this could be usefull.
