Lakes
The east kootenays has a ton of great lakes, but these are my favorite picks.
-Wasa lake, 27 minute drive. Not the prettiest lake and quite crowded, but it's warm and has the best beach.
-Premier lake, 42 minute drive. Absolutely stunning lake. However I would not recommend this lake if you don't have 4x4 drive and I wouldn't recommend swimming in the later summer due to the algae.
Lazy lake - 43 minute drive. My personal favorite. Green clear water, great for paddleboarding and cliff jumping.
Silver spring lake - 1 hour drive.
Nordbury - 43 minute drive.
