If you only have time for one beach day while in Halifax, my pick is Crystal Crescent located at the mouth of Halifax harbour. Allow 40 mins to drive there from our location and relax on one of the three white-sand crescent beaches. There’s also a great hike leading to Pennant Point if you follow the boardwalk to the end of the third beach. If you need beach chairs or towels, we can provide them.

Located on the grounds of one of the oldest black communities in NS dating back to the early 1800s, you’ll find the Africville museum and adjacent park. It’s an important symbol of the Black community and it’s significant heritage to our history.

Located in the national historic site at the Halifax seaport, Canada’s sixth national museum shares the ongoing story of immigration to Canada - past to present, coast to coast. Pier 21 was an ocean liner terminal and immigration shed from 1928 to 1971 in Halifax. Nearly one million immigrants came to Canada through Pier 21, and it is the last surviving seaport immigration facility in Canada. The facility is often compared to the landmark American immigration gateway Ellis Island.
