Plymouth Bluff is walking distance from the house. It's a 190 acre education and recreation facility where you can enjoy nature trails, tennis, river views, fishing and more. Take a trail to the river and you might even find a shark tooth! The main building also has an interpretive museum of cultural and natural history.

The west side of the lock and dam is just down the road a few miles. It's a good spot to watch boats go through the lock. Boat ramp and fishing also available.
