Hiking boots or lace up tennis shoes are a must when hiking, especially on the property as it is very wooded and has an abundance of wildlife, including snakes. Light colored, lightweight hats are recommended to protect from ticks. Lightly colored, lightweight long pants/sleeves are recommended when hiking in the woods to protect from ticks, thorns, and poison ivy. Layers are also recommended to enable comfort on cooler mornings as the days can get very warm during the summer. Although the grounds are professionally sprayed monthly for mosquitos, mosquito repellant is recommended.

If you're interested in cooking in, the Walmart at Fayetteville Supercenter, 204 Town Center Rd, Fayetteville, WV 25840 is open until 11pm. It is 7.8 miles from the home (if you're going north on 19, you will pass it before getting to the home). They offer curbside pickup and in-store pickup, just place your order online. Kroger also offers curbside pickup at 411 Mall Rd Oak Hill, WV 25901. They are open until 10:00 PM and are 8.9 miles from the home. Again, if guests are traveling north on 19, they will pass the store prior to reaching the house. Just place your order on-line.

Order firewood from Lowes online and pick up on your way to the house. They are about 7.4 miles from the home (if traveling north on 19) across from Walmart.
